Integrated Scrap Processing Facility
Eko-Remetals was engaged to execute a large-scale scrap processing and export project in Africa, designed to strengthen the regional recycling ecosystem. This initiative focused on transforming unprocessed industrial scrap into high-quality, export-ready metal resources for global steel manufacturers.
The project involved setting up efficient scrap collection, segregation, and processing systems while ensuring strict quality control and environmental compliance. By integrating sustainable recycling practices with streamlined logistics, the facility now supports consistent supply to international markets while significantly reducing industrial waste and environmental impact.

Challenge:
The primary challenge of this project was twofold. First, handling mixed and unprocessed industrial scrap while maintaining consistent quality suitable for international steel mills. Second, ensuring that all recycling and processing activities complied with strict environmental regulations while minimizing operational impact on the surrounding area.
Managing large volumes of scrap with varying grades required precise segregation, advanced processing methods, and efficient logistics while maintaining sustainability and operational efficiency throughout the process.
Our Solution:
Our approach began with detailed material assessment and collaboration with industry experts to establish clear grading, processing, and quality benchmarks. We implemented structured scrap segregation systems and standardized inspection protocols to ensure consistency and compliance with international standards.
To address sustainability, we adopted responsible recycling practices focused on waste reduction, efficient material recovery, and optimized energy usage. By integrating modern processing equipment and streamlined logistics planning, we successfully delivered export-ready scrap materials while reducing environmental impact and supporting circular economy objectives.
